Course Objective

This unit covers evaluating financial results as well as developing and presenting recommendations and implications to relevant stakeholders for review. Prerequisites: Basic financial/accounting knowledge.

Course Outline

1) Evaluate financial results to enable relevant stakeholders to understand the financial performance of organisation. • Identify stakeholders and organisational strategies through assessment of financial reports • Calculate and analyse financial reports • Interpret strengths and weaknesses through financial analysis 2) Develop recommendations for relevant stakeholders with regard to strategic decision-making. • Assess implications and propose solutions • Justify proposed solutions using forecast and projections • Propose funding options and Optimal Capital Mix to support solution 3) Present recommendations and implications to relevant stakeholders for review in relation to organisational strategies.

Methodology

This course will comprise of case studies, group discussions, activities and short lectures. Mode(s) of Assessments: Written Assessment, Case Study, Oral Questioning *Please note participants are required to attend a post-course assessment on a separate day

Target Audience

Managers, Division Heads and Directors *Trainee(s) is/are required to be proficient in English (writing, speaking, listening and reading) as the training and assessments are conducted in English.

Bibi Hawa Binte Osman Ghani
Bibi Hawa has been conducting training in Accounting and Finance for at least 10 years. She holds a Master in Business Administration and is a certified ACTA trainer. In addition to training, she am also an adjunct lecturer in Accounting and Finance at degree level with teaching experience of least 30 years and corporate experience of at least 17 years.

  • Sponsoring company will receive an email notification from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) to log into Enterprise Portal for Jobs & Skills (EPJS) to declare necessary information for Absentee Payroll.

Funding Information & Eligibility

In order to enjoy the funding, participants need to fulfill the following requirements: 1. Singapore Citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents (SPRs) or Long Term Visit Pass Plus (LTVP+) Holders 2. Not a full-time national serviceman (under company-sponsored) 3. Successfully complete assessment & certified as competent 4. Have not enjoyed funding for the same course before. 5. For company-sponsored participants, training is fully sponsored by companies, which are registered or incorporated in Singapore 6. Sponsoring company is the direct employer who is contributing CPF for the registered Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents (SPRs) participant *********************************************************************************************** Withdrawal/Postponement from the Registered Class: Notification of withdrawal/postponement has to be given via email to SNEF at least 7 working days before the course commencement date. There will be an admin fee chargeable for late withdrawal/postponement: - Notification received from 4 to 6 working days - 25% of full course fee (subject to 9% GST) - Notification received from 1 to 3 working days - 100% of full course fee (subject to 9% GST) - No-show – 100% of full course fee (subject to 9% GST)
